How is your sleep?
Sleep Disordered Breathing is a broad term for breathing abnormalities that occur during sleep.
Its main symptoms include snoring and sleep apnea (abnormally long pauses in breathing during sleep). Undiagnosed sleep issues can lead to health problems, such as heart disease and stroke. At Krause Dental Center, we are trained in recognizing sleep-disordered breathing risks and in looking for the root cause of this disorder. There are various methods of treatment for SDB, and we are able to treat and/or collaborate with other healthcare providers to get patients back to a healthy night’s sleep.
Signs and symptoms of SDB:
- Restless sleep
- Daytime sleepiness
- Snoring
- Waking during the night gasping for air
- Grinding/clenching teeth
